e-Learning Growth in BFSI Sector |
NOIDA, India, 4th January 2010 - The need and popularization of e-learning in India
is reflected in the growing numbers of e-learning companies as well as the domestic
market as a whole. While more and more corporate houses are adopting e-learning
practices, for the Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI) the need and scope
has been particularly evident in the past few years.
|
| |
For one, this sector works with huge number of employees, as most banks have multiple
numbers of branches and divisions all over the country and abroad. Due to rapid
expansion in this domain new people are added every day to every function known
within a bank. Training of new recruits and existing employees thus becomes a challenge
in this situation. E-Learning is fast emerging as an answer to this problem, with
it being adopted across public and private banks and insurance companies. As one
of India's fastest growing e-learning companies, G-Cube has implemented elearning
systems for a number of organizations in BFSI sector, such as State Bank of India,
HSBC, ICICI, Bajaj Allianz, IndusInd, ING Vysya, and Reliance Capital to name a
few. |
|
|
Latest addition to G-Cube's prestigious client list is Punjab National Bank (PNB),
which is one of the largest banks in India. G-Cube in consortium with LGS Global
has been entrusted to implement Wizdom Learning Suite (LMS, LCMS, & VCR) for
PNB. Wizdom Learning Suite is being implemented to centralize all the training processes
across all the banks offices/branches (over 5000) spread across the
country. |
| |
Among a highly competitive and challenging bidding process, which involved leading
global players, G-Cube in consortium with LGS won the project by demonstrating Wizdom
Learning Suite's feature richness, and robustness, and ability of the consortium
to provide exceptional blend of consulting and support services for a smooth rollout
of the learning suite across India. |
|
|
Though the last year has seen considerable turmoil in the economy, the worst hit
being the BFSI sector - things are looking up and the aggression shown in the field
of learning in this sector is evident of that fact (before PNB, G-Cube was also
recently awarded content development project by State Bank of India, which is the
largest bank in India with over 200,000 employees spread across the nation). |
|
|
| |
And this is just the beginning of the year! Here's to the potential of the BFSI
domain in the field of e-learning and the opportunities that it presents.
