Business Requirements

  • FitnessFirst realized the importance of safety within its premises and wanted a learning solution that can be utilized by their employees worldwide.
  • Since the learners were constantly active during work hours and are frequently on the move, the e-courses had to be made accessible through multiple devices.
  • It was also necessary to ensure ease of use on varying screen sizes and without the resolution adversely affecting the content display.

Challenges

  • Since the client organization encouraged BYOD (bring-your-own-device) policy, the e-courses had to be compatible with multiple devices and mobile platforms
  • The learning solution had to be aligned as per the learners’ need of completing the courses with multiple attempts as most of them did not have an assigned time for learning within working hours.
  • The learning solution also had to provide content that could be accessed while on the move – a text only approach was not enough.

Our Solution

  • The e-learning solution was created with Responsive Web Design (RWD) that creates an optimal viewing experience, along with easy reading and navigation. It ensures minimum resizing, panning, and scrolling – so that the content is not only available on multiple devices, but is altered to suit the screen size
  • The courses were SCORM 1.2 compliant, providing pertinent user data at all times – irrespective of the user’s choice of device.
  • Content was created using HTML templates so that the content could be developed quickly and could be accessed by the learner on multiple devices. In addition to text, video and audio was also inserted to increase the content appeal.

Benefits

  • Learners found that the information shared was easily implemented and integrated into their day-to-day work schedule.
  • It was easier to keep track of learners’ progress and assign them courses for revision from time to time.
  • With the implementation of the learning program, there was an overall increase in safety measures implemented within the facilities and client satisfaction was also on the rise – creating a greater brand value for FitnessFirst.
