Business Requirements

  • To design courses that align to the learning needs of sales personnel. 
  • To reach out to wide number of active Amway Business Owners (ABOs). 
  • To provide comprehensive training solutions that aid ABOs sell better.

Challenges

  • The major challenge faced by the client was that their sales employees were not effectively trained to sell a diverse range of products to their customers, leading to reduced workplace productivity and business growth.
  • As majority of sales employees were on the go, taking products to multiple locations was a daunting task for the salesforce, resulting in wastage of time and effort. 
  • Since Amway India has a very diversified audience base, there were hundreds of ABOs whose computer knowledge was very limited and therefore they needed a simple, easy to understand and yet attractive approach for self-paced learning.
  • The audience background was varied and had contrasting socio-economic as well as educational background. Therefore, the solution needed to be developed, considering the diversity of the audience.
  • Apart from including audios & videos, there was a need to adopt a storytelling approach to showcase the traceability of individual products.
  • To maintain a perfect balance between developing an augmented reality video vs an educational tour video was quite challenging. 
  • The complete dependency on vendors due to lack of in-house expertise was also a challenge.

Our Solution

  • We designed an innovative Amway Augmented Reality mobile app for sales employees to sell the appropriate products to the right audiences.
  • The users could easily access the app and scan the product to play the animated video highlighting product features, dosage and benefits. This aided the customers to gain an in-depth knowledge on product features and benefits, thereby boosting their trust on the selling company. 
  • The animated video highlighted the 3-step principle of supplying only PSP products to the market, aptly explaining their traceability story.
  • Interactive videos based on specific products- Tulsi, AVH (Amalaki, Vibhitaki and Haritaki), Ashwagandha and Brahmi completely catered to the marketing team’s expectations. 
  • As the AR-based mobile app was easily available on Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS), it provided the flexibility to the users to scan the products and effectively explore their features and benefits for an engaging experience. 
  • The sales employees could take their customers through the solution on their personalized mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This ensured that the solution could be shared anytime and anywhere- contributing to its success. 
  • Incorporation of videos and animations for different products was successfully aligned with the marketing team’s expectations. 
  • The inclusion of traceability stories of each product in the video boosted the overall levels of customer satisfaction, engagement and knowledge retention. 
  • The overall experience was interactive in a way that it helped the customers gain a better understanding of the products, including features, functionalities and available configuration options. The App comprised of the unique functionalities to impart information on available products, following the concept of AR.
