NOIDA/India: G-Cube’s innovative Associate On-Boarding Program – “Amantran” – has won the prestigious Brandon Hall Excellence Award 2012. G-Cube’s HR practices related to associate onboarding, termed as ‘Amantran’, which means ‘Invitation’ in Hindi, was bestowed the honor in the category of Best On-Boarding Program.
Amantran was conceptualized & designed in 2011 to increase the engagement levels of new hires and retain them in the crucial 0-1 year tenure so as to effectively increase productivity. The program is clearly differentiated from many run-of-the-mill onboarding programs. It includes many interventions designed & executed by HR right from pre hiring stage to a year long life cycle of an associate. A notable highlight of Amantran is that it helps the new hire to forge a connection with G-Cube’s culture and philosophy.During the first 6 months, the associates are also introduced to ‘Paramarsh’, G-Cube’s Associate Mentoring program. While a functional buddy makes them comfortable in the first month of joining, the mentor guides them in their Careers at G-Cube and provides the right support and just in time feedback.
Overall, Aamantran delivers information & resources to new hires over several months at periodic intervals. After introducing Aamantran, our voluntary turnover rate (0-1 year tenure) has shown a decline at the end of 2011- 12 from double digit to single digit percentage.
Aamantran is a very business focused talent management program that is integrated with the talent acquisition process at G-Cube.
Brandon Hall adjudged Amantran on several parameters, but two significant ones were how effectively it addressed the needs of the organization and how well it was able to engage the new hires and get them acclimatized to the new organization. In addition, the award also sought to understand the real and measurable benefits of the program at an organizational level, to gauge its overall effectiveness.
