G-Cube, proudly announces two prestigious wins at Brandon Hall’s Excellence in Technology Awards 2015. G-Cube received a Bronze medal in the category of Best Advance in Mobile Learning Technology and a Silver for Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for External Learning.
In the category of Learning Management Technology for External Learning, G-Cube showcased an innovative technology-aided solution for the dealer network of Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV). The program titled ‘iLearn’ was created for the extensive network of 270+ dealers all over the country, who sell the majority of the company vehicles.
G-Cube partnered with VECV to create a technology-aided platform to support the new training initiative for the dealer network. G-Cube customized its new age LMS – WiZDOM – to create a learning portal that delivers training seamlessly across the vast spread of the dealer network and eventually empowers them to drive their own learning. This proved to be a better and effective compared to the previous strategy of classroom based trainings.
The iLearn program is running successfully among more than 100 dealers across India since early 2014. A total of 1,317 users are registered on the portal, which includes 1,094 executives and 223 managers. This number is rising every day as more and more dealers are proactively embracing the new training initiative to increase their efficiencies.
In the category of Mobile Learning Technology, G-Cube shared yet another project which has seen immense success – the SafetyFirst Learning program created for leading fitness club chain : Fitness First. Based in UK, Fitness First is one of the world’s leading health and fitness companies.
From a single club, opening in Bournemouth in 1993, today it operates a high-growth business with over 370 clubs in 16 countries and 1 million members. While the fitness industry is growing, it is also important to note that it is an industry that poses a number of workplace hazards. Fitness First realized the importance of safety within its premises and wanted a learning solution that can be utilized by their employees worldwide. They approached G-Cube to develop a solution that would present their employees with a unique learning experience and help them excel in their area of work.
G-Cube understood that the learners are constantly active during work hours and are frequently on the move. Thus it was important that the courses are made accessible through multiple devices – anytime and anywhere, as per the convenience of the learner. Also, it was important to remember that the learners might need to view the training on devices with smaller screens and lesser resolution – like smartphones and tablets. It was therefore necessary to ensure ease of use on varying screen sizes and without the resolution adversely affecting the content display. To increase accessibility and to make the program platform-independent, G-Cube developed the SafetyFirst learning program with HTML5. This ensured that the courses can be accessed from any device that the learners choose – desktop, laptop or mobile device.
In addition to safety measures, the learning program shared other relevant information as well, helping learners maintain sound professional relationships and be happier at work. With increased employee satisfaction through the learning program, attrition rates were on a steady decline. Moreover with an overall increase in safety measures implemented within the facilities, client satisfaction also increased – creating a greater brand value for Fitness First.
